Yeah, build an Interstate highway across an entire mountain range, one of
the most difficult to traverse in the country, just to ensure car access to

There is no POSSIBLE way that Tahoe could host the
Olympics without building that freeway. Why? The
CLOSEST airports to the South Lake Tahoe area
are in Sacramento and Reno, and there is NO WAY
you are getting there from EITHER airport, WITHOUT
a CAR. Such a freeway would HAVE to be built to accomodate
